Welcome to Kitchell
Our space is ACCESSIBLE
Our large parking lot adjacent to the church features accessible parking and our sanctuary and fellowship halls are accessible for all mobility types.
ALL are welcome
Kitchell is an open and affirming congregation that believes regardless of who you are, who you love, or the color of your skin, you belong and are invited to full participation in the life of our church. We celebrate open communion: all those baptized into Christ and into the church community may come to the Lord’s table. We celebrate the Sacrament on the fourth Sunday of each month.

Sunday Mornings at Kitchell

sanctuary & dress
Sanctuary is a quaint setting; no set dress code, but neat casual is an appropriate guideline

welcome
We begin each service at 10 AM, with announcements about our life together and a call to worship

during the service
Music, scripture, time for children, a message and opportunity for giving are all a part of our Sunday mornings.

fellowship
Following service we gather in Fellowship Hall for coffee, tea, and treats. This is a time of casual conversation and an opportunity to get to know one another.

online options
All services are live-streamed on YouTube. There is also the option to use zoom for further participation.
Special Services

Advent
Advent is the start of the liturgical calendar! We decorate our Sanctuary (Hanging of the greens) to prepare. We celebrate each of the four Sundays with the lighting of our Advent wreath.

Christmas
The season culminates with a beautiful candlelit service of celebration on Christmas Eve in the stone chapel in the middle of Restland Memorial Park. Make plans to join us for this moving service! Prelude music begins at 10:50 PM; service concludes at midnight with the Ringing in of Christmas Day!

Lent
Kitchell begins the season of Lent with an Ash Wednesday evening service.

Holy Week & Easter
Holy Week services begin with Palm Sunday at our regularly scheduled worship time. We also participate in a Maundy Thursday service in the evening as we commemorate the Last Supper and an evening Good Friday service. On Easter Sunday we have our traditional celebration of the resurrection, followed by coffee hour, fellowship and our annual Easter egg hunt on the church grounds.
